Moulding

The moulding of the laminated sheet starts from punched sections or directly from ribbon.

LASIM S.p.A. has two plants for the moulding of sheet metal, which use different techniques for the different types of products to be made.

LASIM 1 has a department consisting of 9 traditional presses (from 200 tons to 500 tons) and 14 robotic presses (from 400 tons to 1000 tons) that make up 3 separate automatic lines, for a total production capacity of over 175,000 moulded pieces per day.

On the other hand, LASIM 2 uses 5 Transfer presses, from 800 tons to 2,000 tons, with a production capacity of over 32,000 pieces per day. Transfer moulding has a reduced cycle time because all the moulds required for a given part are allocated in a single press with automatic transfer from one station to the next, specifically designed for these moulding processes.
Recently (2019) a new 1,000-ton Mossini press and a 2,000 ton Schuler servo press were purchased.
